Older American gamers remember the roots of the "Dragon Quest" series in the classic Nintendo Entertainment System gaming console. "Dragon Quest IX: Sentinel of The Starry Skies" retains much of the flavor of it's predecessors, and still includes items whose origins are traceable back to the original cartridge. "Magic Water" is one such item, and has been refilling magic points for Mages everywhere since the original NES version appeared in 1989. Magic Water is uncommon early in the game, but as you progress you will find a number of opportunities to acquire some more.

Journey to the Tower of Trades and climb up to the seventh floor. Retrieve a bottle of Magic Water in the northeastern chest.

Buy Magic Water bottles in Item Shops in the following locations: Porth Llaffan, Slurry Quay, Dourbridge, Bloomingdale, Gleeba, Batsureg, Swinedimples Academy, Wormwood Creek, Upover and Gortress.

Hunt down creatures which sometimes drop flasks of Magic Water. The Jinkster occasionally drops them, as do the Magus, Lunatick and Firespirit, though far less often.
