How to Get All the Badges in Pokemon: SoulSilver

"Pokemon: SoulSilver," a remake of the original "Pokemon: Silver" on the Game Boy Advance, brings back both the Johto and Kanto regions introduced in the original game. Unlike the first generation of "Pokemon," players can earn 16 badges instead of the usual eight. In "Pokemon: SoulSilver," your character begins in the Johto region, where you must earn eight badges and defeat the Elite Four before moving onto the Kanto region.

Instructions

  Defeat all of the gym leaders in the Johto region. Each major town has a gym, which has a leader you must defeat in a Pokemon battle to earn the right to a badge. These Johto towns are Violet City, Azalea City, Goldenrod City, Ecruteak City, Cianwood City, Olivine City, Mahogany City and Blackthorn City.

  Defeat the Elite Four in the Johto Pokemon League, just north of Victory Road. Will, Koga, Bruno and Karen all have level 40+ Pokemon you must defeat in a row before you can move onto Kanto.

  Defeat Lance, whose Pokemon are Level 46 and above. Lance is the final boss after the Elite Four, and he is your final obstacle before reaching the Kanto region.

  Board the S.S. Aqua just north of the Pokemon League and travel to Kanto.

  Defeat the gym leaders of the Kanto region. Like Johto, each major town has a gym and a leader to defeat for an additional eight badges. These towns are Vermillion City, Saffron City, Fuchsia City, Celadon City, Cerulean City, Pewter City, Seafoam City and Viridian City.
