How to Make Pokemon Migrate in Pokemon SoulSilver

Pokemon migration allows you to transfer Pokemon from the Pokemon games on Gameboy Advance to your game in "Pokemon SoulSilver." Migration occurs at a location called Pal Park where you can migrate six Pokemon at a time from a save file on a Gameboy Advance version of the game. You must recapture the Pokemon in Pal Park, however, they are the exact same Pokemon from your Gameboy Advance game with the same stats and abilities.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the Gameboy Advance version of the game that you would like to migrate Pokemon from into the Gameboy slot on your Nintendo DS. Use a copy of either "Pokemon Ruby," "Pokemon Sapphire," "Pokemon Emerald," "Pokemon FireRed" or "Pokemon LeafGreen."

    • 2

Turn on the system and begin your game. Fly to Fuchsia City and enter Pal Park or select the Pal Park menu from the game's main menu.

    • 3

Select the six Pokemon that you would like to migrate over. You can migrate as many Pokemon as you like, however, you can only do six at one time.

    • 4

Walk around the park looking for the six Pokemon that you migrated over. The park is broken up into the Field Area, Forest Area, Mountain Area, Pond Area and Ocean Area, so look for Pokemon in the area that best matches their natural habitat.

    • 5

Throw a Park Ball at the Pokemon when you encounter it. Park Balls allow you to automatically capture a Pokemon without having to battle it.
