How Do I Fish for Pokémon on Pokémon SoulSilver Game?

You can only encounter some of the Pokemon in "Pokemon SoulSilver" by tossing a hook and line into the nearest body of water and hauling them out onto dry land. Fishing is not a difficult process in "SoulSilver"; it requires only a fishing rod and a convenient body of water. You will, however, have to pay attention while fishing to make sure you reel the hook in when you have a Pokemon on the line.

     Obtain a fishing rod. The first rod is given to you by the Fishing Guru in the Pokemon Center on Route 32.

     Face any body of water, then open your inventory and select the rod. Your character will automatically cast the line into the water.

     Wait until an exclamation point appears above your character's head.

   • 4

     Press the "A" button to pull the Pokemon out of the water and trigger a battle.
