How to Kill Boos in New Super Mario Bros.

In the previous entries to the "Super Mario Bros." series, Boos were seemingly unstoppable ghosts that could only be killed by a star-powered Mario. In "New Super Mario Bros." for the Nintendo DS, however, they can be killed by either a star-powered Mario, a shelled Mario or a giant Mario. But, depending on which power-up you use to dispose of the Boo, the method of killing it will vary.

Instructions

- 1
  Grab the star power-up, and run directly into the Boo. Since star-powered Mario is invincible and destroys any enemy he touches, running into a Boo after grabbing the star will kill the ghost.

  Grab the turtle shell power-up. Press forward on the D-Pad while holding the "Y" button to run. Once Mario enters a full dash, he will tuck into the turtle shell. While sliding around in the turtle shell, press the "A" button to jump into the Boo and kill it.
- 3
  Grab the mega mushroom power-up, and run into the Boo. Since the mega mushroom power-up turns Mario into a giant and causes him to destroy everything in his path, running into a Boo while in giant form will kill the ghost.
