How Do You Get a Vileplume in the Game Pokemon SoulSilver?

There are over 400 different Pokemon to catch in "Pokemon SoulSilver," such as Vileplume. Vileplume is one of the original 150 Pokemon featured in "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue" in 1998. Vileplume is a Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon with abilities designed to cause damage to enemy Pokemon over time. Vileplume is strong against Water-type Pokemon but weak against Psychic- and Flying-type Pokemon. Vileplume is the final evolution of both Oddish and Gloom. However, you cannot obtain a Vileplume unless a specific item is used.

Instructions

  Capture a Gloom. Gloom can be found on Routes 5 and 47 in the tall grass or by raising an Oddish to level 21, at which point he evolves into Gloom.

  Obtain a Leaf Stone. These stones are offered as prizes in the bug-catching contest and can be purchased at the Pokeathlon Dome, obtained from Bill's Grandfather on Route 25 or from Gina on Route 34.

  Tap "Bag" on the bottom screen of your Nintendo DS.

  Tap the "Items" icon in the top left corner of the "Bag" screen.

  Tap the Leaf Stone followed by "Use."

  Select Gloom from the list of Pokemon shown. The Leaf Stone is removed from your inventory and Gloom evolves into Vileplume.
