How Do You Reset on the Nintendo DS Game Nintendogs?

"Nintendogs" revolves around an interactive world where the primary purpose is to care for one or more puppies. As with the vast majority of other Nintendo DS games, there is only enough memory to support one save game at a time. Whether you purchased the game used or want to create a new dog family, you will need to reset the data previously saved on the cartridge. You can do this with a button combination.

     Insert "Nintendogs" into the Nintendo DS' cartridge slot. If you are using a DS or a DS Lite, this is the top slot.

     Turn on the Nintendo DS and select "Nintendogs" on the main menu. Wait for the game to load to the main menu.

     Hold down the "L" and "R" shoulder buttons in addition to the "Y," "X," "A" and "B" face buttons simultaneously.

     Confirm your decision to reset the data.
