How to Raise an Egg in Digimon World: Dawn

It is quite important to master the art of raising eggs in ̶0;Digimon World: Dawn" if you want to breed with your digital monsters. In this 2007 role-playing game for the Nintendo DS, players receive a "Digimon Farm." The farm allows you to breed and store your digital monsters when they are not out on quests with you. You are able to match up two Digimon in order to produce an egg. In order to raise these eggs so that they can hatch, you must increase their experience points.

Instructions

  Play the game normally until you have completed the sixth story quest. This will unlock the "Shine W" area where you can purchase "Farm Goods" that will help raise your eggs.

  Stand on the pink floor tile at the bottom area of "Shine Plaza" and press the "A" button to teleport to your character's home.

  Stand in front of the left computer (the one with the blue arrow in front of it) and press the "A" button. Highlight "Start DigiFarm PC" with the d-pad and then press the "A" button. Select one of your DigiFarms and place the egg you want to raise in it.

  Look at the description of the egg to see what kind of experience it needs to be raised properly. All eggs fall into the categories of Holy, Dark, Dragon, Beast, Bird, Machine, Aquan or Insect/Plant. Exit the farm and then stand on the pink teleport tile and press "A." Select the "Shine W" area as your destination, then walk to the right where you will find some shops.

  Select "Farm Goods" and select "Buy." Scroll through the list of available goods with the d-pad and select the ones you want to buy with the "A" button. Look at the top screen to see the "effect" of the goods. If your egg requires "Holy" experience, for example, buy things that list "Holy" next to their effects, such as the "Phonograph."

  Teleport back to your tamer house and access the farm with your eggs. Select the farm goods you have bought and place them with the "A" button. Select "Farm Status" from the menu and then scroll down to "EXP." The top screen will display how much experience points your farm is generating for which types of eggs and Digimon.

  Select the egg you want to raise and use the "Talk" command once it has reached the required amount of experience points. The egg will hatch and you will receive a new Digimon.
