How to Get Around the Sand Trap in Sims Castaway

"The Sims 2: Castaway" was released for multiple platforms in 2007. The game features characters similar to those found in traditional "Sims" games, but "Castaway" features specific objectives and quests that players must complete to progress in the game. Most of the quests require players to solve puzzles or complete events in a consecutive order. If you are trying to cross the quicksand blocking your path to the next area, there are some things you must do first.

Instructions

  Locate the Llama Temple on top of the volcano on the third island. Once you start to climb the volcano, you will see a path that leads to the temple doors.

  Find the crown inside the throne room of the temple. Take the crown and wear it or add it to your inventory.

  Go to the second island and locate the Dark Cave. Enter the cave with the crown.

  Use the crown to open a hidden door near the back of the cave. The door will open to a new outside area.

  Walk past the water and follow the footprints that say "Explore East River Plains." The East River Plains take you to the opposite side of the quicksand.

  Stop walking when you reach two pillars along the path. Click one pillar and select "Inspect" from the menu options. The pillar will fall, creating a bridge over the quicksand. You can now explore the East River Plains anytime you wish.
