How to Check Kanto Badges in Pokemon SoulSilver

"Pokemon SoulSilver," released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS, is a remake of "Pokemon Silver," which was released in 2000. However, "SoulSilver" made some additions to "Silver." One is the ability to view your Kanto badges. Unlike other "Pokemon" games, there are an additional eight badges to earn once you have finished the main story. By checking your badges, you can view your progress towards defeating the additional eight gym leaders. You can check your badges at any time you are not in a battle.

     Launch "Pokemon SoulSilver."

     Tap the "Player Card" icon on the bottom screen of the Nintendo DS. This icon is located directly under the word "Menu," and has your character's name underneath it.

     View the top screen of your Nintendo DS. Your Kanto badges are listed in a group of eight underneath your Johto badges. Badges you have earned are displayed as silver rotating icons in the corner of each gym leader's picture.

     Tap "Cancel" on the bottom screen of your Nintendo DS to return to the game.
