Where Do I Find Shieldon on 'Pokemon Diamond' for DS?

In Nintendo's "Pokemon Diamond Version," players may be looking for a way to receive the fossil Pokemon Shieldon -- and securing a Shieldon requires a little outside help. Shieldon was introduced as an exclusive Pokemon in "Diamond's" paired game, "Pokemon Pearl Version," and in "Diamond" can be obtained in several ways thanks to a few handy features.

Breeding
- If you've traded with anyone and ever received a Bastiodon, you have half of the equation for making a Shieldon. The evolved form of Shieldon, the Bastiodon can be used to breed a Shieldon. You'll require either a female Bastiodon, or a Bastiodon and a Ditto to breed a Shieldon.
Trade
- Most likely, if you're looking for a Shieldon, you'll have to trade for it. If you have any friends with a Shieldon or Bastiodon and a game compatible with "Diamond" such as "Pearl," "Platinum," "HeartGold" or "SoulSilver," they can trade you theirs or breed a Shieldon for you.
Armor Fossil
- If you've received any Pokemon holding an "Armor Fossil" in a trade, you have the key item needed to make a Shieldon in-game. Take the fossil to the Oreburgh Mining Museum and turn it in, and it will be revived into a Shieldon for you. You'll then have a Shieldon that has originated in your game, despite Shieldon being a "Pearl" exclusive.
Global Trade Station
- "Pokemon Diamond Version" introduced a new feature to Pokemon games: the Global Terminal. Through this system, the DS handheld system connects to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and can connect to other players across the world. The terminal features a Global Trade Station, otherwise known as the GTS. From here, you can look specifically for Shieldon to trade as long as you've seen it at some point during the course of the game. You can offer Pokemon in exchange for a Shieldon, or find one someone is offering and match her request to obtain one.
