How to Get Past the Lost Woods in Spirit Tracks

Designed especially for the Nintendo DS hand-held game system, "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks" features an interactive map that players draw on with the included game stylus. The dual-screen DS console displays the map on the top screen and action on the bottom touch screen. Although Link is the main character, Princess Zelda and Phantom accompany him at different points throughout the game. Game play includes exploring the realm, transporting passengers, fighting off enemies and finding your way out of certain areas, such as the Lost Woods.

Instructions

    • 1

Drive your train to Whittleton by drawing a route to the town on the map. Approaching the station, touch the speed control on the right side of the touch screen and drag it to the "Stop" position.

    • 2

Exit the train and enter Whittleton. Walk into the different huts and tap the villagers to talk to them. Each character will give you a piece of information.

    • 3

Head back to the train station and tap Zelda to return to your train. Draw a route to the center of the Lost Woods on your map, and then shift the controller to the "Low Speed" setting.

    • 4

Continue on the track into the Forest Realm, passing through a tunnel into the Lost Woods. Look for four tree stumps next to the tracks; each one has a large branch pointing the way.

    • 5

Click the arrows at the bottom of your touch screen to turn in the direction indicated by the first three trees. When you reach the fourth tree, turn in the opposite direction.
