Instructions
Draw storyboards so that you know how you want your fight scene to look. The storyboards should plot out the major beats of the animation. Deciding how you want the fight to look beforehand will make it easier for you to animate.
Open a new project and begin by drawing your actors in the space provided with the DS Stylus. Use the pen tool to draw the actors and the paint bucket tool to fill in a space with a color or texture.
Press the Right button on the DS controller to move to the next frame. The image from the previous frame will be shown in a lighter color so that you can draw the next frame in relatively the same space and scale. However, make sure the next frame has a slight difference in the position of the figures to show movement. For example, if the stick figure is throwing a punch, his arm should move a bit more forward in each frame.
Add as many frames as you need to complete your fight scene. Press "Up" on the DS control pad at any time to preview your animation. The advanced editing tools allow you to delete or add frames, adjust the speed of the animation or add special effects.
Record sound effects using the DS microphone to add to your fight scene. When using the Flipnote recording tools, the animation will play, allowing you to time the sound effects with the action on the screen.
Save your animation and connect to the Flipnote Hatena using a wi-fi Internet connection to share your animation with other animators from around the world.
