How to Activate the TV in Old Chateau

One of the new Pokemon available in "Pokemon Pearl," "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Platinum" is Rotom, a Ghost-type and Electric-type Pokemon with the ability to possess appliances and gain their powers. When you first encounter Rotom, it is haunting a television set in the Eterna Forest's Old Chateau. Activating the TV causes the Rotom to engage you in battle and allows you to capture it with a Poke Ball.

     Travel west on Route 205 to enter the Eterna Forest.

     Walk up to the trees blocking the path that leads north, then use the "Cut" ability to remove them.

     Walk north and enter the Old Chateau. Walk up the stairs and into the room with the television.

   • 4

     Walk up to the television, then press the "A" button. Rotom will challenge you to a battle.
