How to Make a Boss Stage With WarioWare

̶0;WarioWare: DIY̶1; for the Nintendo DS gives players the tools they need to create their own microgames. These short games can be customized to feature graphics, characters, animations and storylines of the player̵7;s choosing. Because these player-made games are only programmed for five seconds of play, it̵7;s difficult for players to create longer boss levels. Fortunately, player-modified versions of the game make it possible to create boss stages with longer timers.

Instructions

    • 1

Download a saved boss level by going to the Distribution Center on your DS and clicking ̶0;Connect with DS̶1; to connect with a player who has a level available for download. Another way to download a game is by using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection and downloading it from a player̵7;s warehouse. You must have a user̵7;s friend code to do this. Players often exchange codes on online game forums.

Import the saved game into your game using the Super Maker Matic 21 interface. This interface allows players to import games, characters and objects from their warehouse into their copy of the game.

    • 3

Edit the saved game in the DIY Studio. Follow the prompts to create your own characters, objects and backgrounds instead of using the ones from the saved game. Choose animations, actions and event triggers to create a new plot. The timer for the saved game will already be set for longer than a typical microgame, making it long enough for a boss level.

Test your game using the ̶0;Trial Play̶1; function to see if works the way you want it to. Save the finished game in your warehouse, and upload it into your "Storage Crate" to share it with other players.
