How to Get Arbok in Pokemon Pearl

"Pokemon Pearl" was released alongside "Pokemon Diamond" for the Nintendo DS. One added feature to this new generation of Pokemon was the ability to insert older Pokemon games, such as "Pokemon: FireRed" and "Pokemon: LeafGreen" into the Game Boy Advance game slot located at the bottom of the Nintendo DS. Doing so would allow the player to find and catch some of the older Pokemon that normally couldn't be found anywhere in the "Pokemon Pearl" game world. The snake Pokemon Arbok is one that requires "Pokemon: FireRed" for the player to find and catch it.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your copy of "Pokemon: FireRed" into the bottom slot in your Nintendo DS. This will make other Pokemon, including Arbok, appear in certain places.

    • 2

Start "Pokemon Pearl" and obtain the National Pokedex. This will automatically be given to you after you have collected all eight gym badges and defeated the Elite Four, and after you have seen the first 150 Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex, which is given to you at the beginning of the game.

    • 3

Head to Pastoria's Great Marsh. If you don't know where the city of Pastoria is, check the bottom right corner of your world map.

    • 4

Enter the Great Marsh. Wander around until you come across an Arbok, then battle it as you normally would any other Pokemon. Throwing a Pokeball when its health is low will add Arbok to your Pokemon collection.
