How to Make Pokemon Recruit to Your Team Easier in Pokemon Explorers

The second entry in the ̶0;Pokemon Mystery Dungeon̶1; series is the three ̶0;Explorers̶1; games. The original two games, ̶0;Explorers of Time̶1; and ̶0;Explorers of Darkness̶1; are slightly altered versions of the same game. The third game, ̶0;Explorers of Sky̶1; is a remake based on both of the original versions. The mechanics used to recruit Pokemon to your party are identical between all three versions of the game. The chance of recruiting a Pokemon is fairly random, but it is possible to improve your odds.

Instructions

    • 1

Defeat as many enemies as possible using your team leader to increase his level. The team leader is the Pokemon you directly control. Your recruitment chance increases every 10 levels after you reach Level 30. At Level 30, you gain a 5-percent bonus to your recruitment rate. The bonus increases by 2 1/2 percent every 10 levels after 30. The only exception is at Level 90 when your bonus increases to 24 percent, the maximum bonus based on your team leader̵7;s level.

    • 2

Complete the storyline quests. The ̶0;Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers̶1; games are linear so there are no requirements beyond doing what the game tells you to do.

    • 3

Watch the credits completely. Gain access to several quests and areas that were not available to you previously as you get placed back into the game world following the credits.

    • 4

Complete the Mystifying Forest dungeon that appears after the credits. Have a diverse party as you encounter Pokemon from every type in this area. The only significantly difficult encounter is the boss fight against Wigglytuff. Keep him asleep using Sleep Seeds while you kill off his allies. Attack Wigglytuff after his allies are defeated. Wigglytuff is more vulnerable to Fighting-type attacks and immune to Ghost-type attacks.

    • 5

Go to the Zero Isle dungeons. Understand that only your team leader can enter the Zero Isle dungeons with no assistance.

    • 6

Buy a Friend Bow from Kecleon, who can be found randomly throughout the Zero Isle dungeons. Equip the Friend Bow on your team leader to increase your recruitment rate chance by 10 percent.

    • 7

Pick up the Golden Mask on the 75th floor of the Zero Isle North dungeon to increase your recruitment rate by 25 percent.

    • 8

Pick up the Amber Tear on the 40th floor of Zero Isle West to increase your recruitment rate by 25 percent.
