How to Catch Yanma in Pokemon Pearl

Yanma is a dual Flying/Bug-type Pokemon in the Nintendo DS adventure video game "Pokemon Pearl." Yanma can be found in the Safari Zone of the Great Marsh to the north of Pastoria City. In the Safari Zone, you are given Safari Balls to catch Pokemon rather than normal Pokeballs and, while you have to hand back these Safari Balls on leaving, you can keep any Pokemon you have caught. Yanma evolves into Yanmega when it levels up after learning the move Ancient Power.

     Go to Pastoria City in the southeast of the Sinnoh region.

     Enter the Safari Zone through the gate on the north side of the city.

   • 3

     Go out into any area of the Safari Zone and walk around in the long grass until you encounter a wild Yanma. Yanma is common in every area, but it is easiest to find in Areas 5 and 6.

     Use Ice, Fire, Flying or Rock-type attacks to wear down Yanma's health points until they are showing as a red bar, and throw a Safari Ball to catch it.
