How to Get Fertilizer in Pokemon Soul Silver

Berries are a tasty treat for your Pokemon in "Pokemon SoulSilver" and each berry is capable of giving your Pokemon a temporary boost in or out of battle. Using different fertilizers on your berry trees will give them different growth properties, making it easier for you to cultivate multiple berries at once. There are four types of fertilizer in "Pokemon SoulSilver"-- Growth Mulch, Gooey Mulch, Damp Mulch and Stable Mulch. Fertilizer is purchased at the Flower Shop in Goldenrod City, but you must first clear the Sudowoodo from the path on Route 36 before it is available for purchase.

Instructions

  Walk to the Flower Shop in Goldenrod City after you have beaten Whitney, the Goldenrod City Gym Leader. The Flower Shop is next door to the Goldenrod City Gym.

  Talk to the girl behind the counter to receive the SquirtBottle item.

  Walk north from Goldenrod City to Route 35, then continue traveling north to Route 36. You will find Sudowoodo blocking the path in Route 36.

  Walk up to the Sudowoodo and press the interaction button to use the SquirtBottle on the Pokemon. This will cause a battle between you and Sudowoodo. Use your strongest Pokemon to quickly defeat Sudowoodo.

  Walk back to Goldenrod City and enter the Flower Shop. You can now purchase all four fertilizers for $200 each.
