Things You'll Need
Instructions
Insert a game cartridge that supports Nintendo WFC into the Nintendo DS, and turn on the system. Select the option for the game's Wi-Fi settings from the main menu of the game. The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup screen will appear. Note that this may be slightly different for each game; consult the game manual for information about the Wi-Fi connection settings in your particular game. Note that not all games support Nintendo WFC.
Tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" on the left side of the screen with your stylus. A list of three numbered connections appear.
Choose one of the numbered connections that reads "None." "None" means that no Wi-Fi settings have been set up for that connection yet. You can save up to three Wi-Fi connections on your Nintendo DS.
Tap "Search for an Access Point" with your stylus. The Nintendo DS will automatically locate any Wi-Fi networks in range of the system and display them on the screen.
Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to, and tap it with the stylus. If the network is not password-protected the Nintendo DS will automatically connect to Nintendo WFC. If password protected, you must first enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
Enter the correct Wi-Fi password by tapping the letters on the onscreen keyboard with your stylus, and tap "OK." The DS will attempt to connect to the network and establish a connection to Nintendo WFC.
