How to Open the Door by the Ice Lanterns on the First Floor in The Legend of Zelda

The door by the ice lanterns in the Snow Temple in "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks" can only be opened by pushing the stray bell into the empty slot by two other bells. You must then strike all of the bells using your boomerang in a certain order. Moving the stray bell into the empty slot can be tricky because you have to navigate over ice that continually melts. However, once you open the door, you will have access to the path that leads to the second floor.

Instructions

  Navigate through the Snow Temple until you reach a large bell sitting next to an ice pond.

  Push the bell north, east, south, west and north again. Note that each time you push the bell, it will slide until it reaches a wall.

  Throw your boomerang over the nearby ice torch to give it freezing power. Then throw it across the water away from the bell to freeze the water. Push the bell east to slide it across the frozen body of water.

  Travel across the water and use your ice boomerang to freeze the entire body of water that is just south of the bell.

  Push the bell south, west, south, west, north and east. The final push will send the bell into a slot next to two other bells.

  Use your boomerang to strike the west bell once, the north bell twice, the east bell once and the north bell once more (in that order). This will automatically cause the door near the ice torches to open.
