How to Catch a Darkrai in Pokémon Pearl

Darkrai is an extremely rare Pokemon available only through special events in the Nintendo DS video game "Pokemon Pearl." Pokemon Events are held periodically over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network and at some game stores and conventions. They are announced via the official Pokemon website. "Pokemon Pearl" game events are distributed through the game's Mystery Gift mode. The Member's Pass event allows you access to New Moon Island off the western coast of Sinnoh, where you can encounter and catch a Level 40 Darkrai.

Instructions

  Go to Jubilife City in the southwest of Sinnoh. Proceed to the second floor of the Jubilife TV station.

  Talk to the man on the left side of the lower room and select "Everyone," "Happy," "Wi-Fi" and "Connection" from the dialogue options.

  Restart your Nintendo DS during a Member's Pass event and go to the main title screen of "Pokemon Pearl." Select the "Mystery Gift" function.

  Choose "Get via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection" and download the Member's Pass.

  Load your game and head to Canalave City in western of Sinnoh. The Members Pass allows you to enter the previously locked Motel. Go inside and sleep in one of the beds to receive a diary containing Darkrai's location.

  Speak to the Sailor non player character at the south side of the city and he will take you to New Moon Island.

  Go to the middle of the island to encounter a Level 40 Darkrai. Wear down its health points using Bug or Fighting-type moves and throw a Pokeball to catch it.
