How to Tell About the Friendship Level in Pokemon SoulSilver

Friendship levels, otherwise known as happiness levels, can have a powerful effect on your Pokemon in "Pokemon SoulSilver." For example, the Return and Frustration attacks both derive their power from how much the Pokemon likes or dislikes you. Additionally, Pokemon such as Chansey and Golbat require a high friendship level to evolve to more powerful forms. To raise friendship levels, use your Pokemon often and don't let it faint in battle.      Go to Goldenrod City.

     Enter the house to the right of the Department store.

   • 3

     Talk to the girl inside and she will tell you how much your Pokemon love you. If she says your Pokemon "really loves you a lot" or "really trusts you," it has a high friendship level, and is close to evolving, if possible. If she says it looks "sort of happy" or is simply "quite cute," it has a moderate friendship level. Otherwise, she will say that it is "not used to you" or "looks mean."
