How to Get Flip Note Studio for the Nintendo DSi

The DSi includes several bonus features over Nintendo's past iteration of the handheld gaming device. For instance, you have the option to download games and other items through the DSi's integrated online store. Nintendo has released several free games through its DSiWare service, such as Flipnote Studio. Once downloaded, Flipnote Studio allows you to animate text and pictures with numerous tools and gives you the option to share your creations with friends.

  Remove any game from the DSi, and turn on the system. Press "Start" to bypass the start-up screen.

  Tap the "Nintendo DSi Shop" icon, donning a blue shopping bag. The DSi automatically connects to one of your preferred Wi-Fi networks and loads the online store.

  Tap "Start Shopping."

  Tap "DSiWare."

  Tap "Free." A list of free games loads.

  Locate Flipnote Studio by scrolling through the list and tapping "Download." Confirm the download on the pop-up prompt. Flipnote Studio downloads to your DSi.
