How to Do a New Game on Pokemon Diamond

"Pokemon: Diamond Version" has a built-in safeguard to prevent you from accidentally starting a new game and erasing your saved data. If you do have previously saved data and want to start a new game anyway, you must first delete the previously saved data. To delete the data you must enter a special combination of keys on your Nintendo DS.

     Load "Pokemon: Diamond Version" on your Nintendo DS. Wait until it loads to the title screen.

     Press and hold down the "Up" button on the directional pad. Press the "B" and "Select" buttons simultaneously. You will now be given the option to delete your data. Delete the saved data.

     Select "New Game" from the main menu to begin your new game.
