How to Use AR Codes on EFA

The EFA Linker allows Nintendo DS owners to play Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games. Along with the games, built-in tools allow users to import cheats from popular devices like the Action Replay Max. Using the AR Crypt Software, the codes can be translated and added to the EFA for use with any game. Once you find the codes you need, simply cut and paste them into the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the EFA Linker cheat files from GBA Temp. The small file comes with the proper software to convert and install Action Replay cheat codes.

    • 2

Use archiving software to unzip the installation file. Double-click on the AR Crypt software file.

    • 3

Go to the Code Junkies website. Click on "Cheats and Saves." Type in the game title you want codes for. Copy and paste the codes directly into the left screen of the AR Crypt program.

    • 4

Remove any extra spaces in the cheat codes, and make sure everything is left-aligned on the page.

    • 5

Click on the "Proceed" icon, and then select the "Save to TXT" icon. Save the game cheat file, and exit the AR Crypt software.

    • 6

Open the "Convert Tool" software. Click on the small icon, and then select the TXT file you just saved. Click on "Convert" and the cheats will be converted to the proper file.

    • 7

Plug in your EFA Linker to the computer through the USB port. Go to your "EFA Linker" manager, right-click and select "Cheat." Select the "Edit Cheats" option, and import the converted file you just created. It will have a .DAT extension on it.
