How to Get Murkrow in SoulSilver

In "Pokemon SoulSilver," you must capture and train different Pokemon and battle against other Pokemon trainers. You capture wild Pokemon, such as the Murkrow, when you encounter them in the outdoors area of the world. The types of Pokemon you can find changes depending on whether it is day or night, based on your Nintendo DS clock. The Murkrow is a dark/flying Pokemon who only appears at night in two specific routes.

Instructions

  Wait until it is nighttime, which starts at 8 p.m. This is based on your Nintendo DS clock, so you can also achieve this by changing the clock in the DS setup to 8 p.m.

  Travel to Route 7 or Route 16 in the Kanto region. Route 7 is the area west of Saffron City; Route 16 is the area west of Celadon City.

  Walk through the grassy areas as you normally would when hunting for Pokemon. You randomly encounter Pokemon battles -- including with the Murkrow -- as you travel.

  Battle with the Murkrow until you weaken it and catch it with a Pokeball, just as you would a normal Pokemon.
