The Safari Zone in "Pokémon: HeartGold Version" is the place to go when you want to catch new and rare Pokémon. Warden Baoba runs the Safari Zone, and after you help him with a few jobs around the park, he starts giving you Block Items. Block Items, when placed in the Safari Zone, attract different types of Pokémon. Warden Baoba calls you several times during your adventure to give you new Block Items. To access the Block Items Baoba gives you, open the menu while you explore the Safari Zone.

Walk northwest on Route 47 to reach the Safari Zone. Pay the $500 admission fee to get inside the park.

Stand on the spot where you want a Block Item to appear and then press "A" to open the menu. If you are facing an object, like a wall or tree, the menu will not open.

Select "Yes" at the prompt to open the list of Block Items you own. Tap the desired Block Item to place it in front of you.
