How to Free Space on Action Replay DS

The Action Replay for the Nintendo DS allows you to use cheat codes for your favorite DS games, giving you the advantage when faced with tough game situations. You may find after adding codes to the Action Replay that you run out of memory to add codes for additional games. You can delete individual codes or all the codes for single games to free up space. You can also delete all of the codes stored on your Action Replay at once.

Instructions

  1. Deleting Individual Codes

    • 1

Insert the Action Replay cartridge in your Nintendo DS, turn on the Nintendo DS and select the "Update" icon, which is the green button with the white asterisk on it.

    • 2

Plug the small end of the mini-USB cable into the Action Replay cartridge and the larger end into a USB port on your computer.

    • 3

Open the Action Replay Code Manager software on your computer. This is the software that you put on your computer when you first set up your Action Replay.

    • 4

Click the "+" icon next to a game in the "Nintendo DS" section of the screen with codes you want to delete to free up space for other codes.

    • 5

Select the code you want to delete and press the trashcan icon next to "Nintendo DS."

    • 6

Delete an entire game from the code list by highlighting the name of the game and pressing the trashcan button.

    Deleting All Codes At Once

    • 7

Insert the Action Replay cartridge in your Nintendo DS and turn on the device.

    • 8

Press and hold the "A" and "B" buttons after turning on the Nintendo DS.

    • 9

Push and hold the "Start" and "Select" buttons while continuing to hold the "A" and "B" buttons when the "Action Replay" screen appears. Continue to hold all four buttons until the cartridge loads, which takes approximately 10 seconds. Once loaded, all of the codes are deleted from your Action Replay.
