How to Write Code Using Pokesav to Your Nintendo DS

Pokesav is software for the PC that allows users to edit their saved game information for Pokemon games so they can give themselves certain cheats. The codes are entered directly into the save file with the software but the only way to load the save files is with a DS flashcard and a MicroSD card. Once the code is loaded on the save file, it will be implemented the next time you load the game on your Nintendo DS.

Card reader

Instructions

  Download the Pokesav file from the website that corresponds to your Pokemon game. Open the "Pokesav.exe" file that mounts on your desktop to install it.

  Place your MicroSD card into your card reader and plug it into your computer's USB drive. Open the "Games" folder and remove the Pokemon save file from it. Place the file on the desktop.

  Open "Pokesav" and select "Open." Choose the Pokemon save file on your desktop and click "Open."

  Input any cheats into the main page you want to implement. Select "Edit" next to number of the Party Pokemon you want to edit. Enter the stats you want to change and click "Save." Select "Save" to save all the cheats.

  Drag and drop the Pokemon file back onto the MicroSD card's "Game" file. Remove the card reader from your PC.

  Plug the MicroSD card into the Flashcard and plug it into your DS. Turn on the DS and select the Pokemon game where you inserted the cheat. Select the proper save file and click "Play."
