Wood R4 Firmware Instructions

The Wood R4 firmware is an upgrade for the Nintendo DS gaming console that allows people to install emulators and other software that isn't native to the DS. If you would like to install the R4 firmware to your Nintendo DS, you can do it through an R4 microSD card. This card comes with the R4 firmware pre-installed so all you have to do is insert the card into the Nintendo DS. You don't have to be a gaming enthusiast to install the R4 firmware. You can do it yourself with little hassle.

     Power down your Nintendo DS and then go to the back of the unit. Remove the microSD car from the back of the DS.

     Insert your R4 microSD card into the port on the back of your Nintendo DS.

     Power up the DS and accept the software agreement from the menu. Wait for the firmware to install on your DS.

     Click the "Restart" button when prompted to restart your DS with the new firmware installed.
