How to Get to Blaine in HeartGold

In "Pokemon: HeartGold Version," Blaine, an elderly gentleman with mastery over fire Pokemon, runs a gym on Seafoam Island. Blaine's Gym was once on Cinnabar Island in earlier "Pokemon" games, but an erupting volcano forced him to move to Seafoam Island. When you enter Blaine's Gym, you must solve a puzzle to reach him. Each time you beat a trainer in the gym, he allows you to move closer to Blaine. You'll find six trainers in the Gym, but to reach Blaine, you only need to defeat three of them.

     Surf southwest from Fuchsia City or east from Cinnabar Island to get to Seafoam Island.

     Enter Blaine's Gym. Speak to the trainer straight ahead of you to battle him. When you win the battle, the trainer backs up. This opens two new paths.

     Take the right path. Talk to the trainer at the end of it to battle him. When he backs away, walk north.

     Talk to the trainer on the east side of the rocks. Once you defeat him, he moves, and the path to Blaine opens.
