How to Get the TM Thunderbolt in Pokemon Pearl

In "Pokémon Diamond," TM24 - Thunderbolt is one of the strongest electric attacks you can teach a Pokémon. Thunderbolt is not as powerful as TM25 - Thunder, but it is a much more accurate attack. Thunderbolt strikes its target without fail, and any Pokémon hit by it may experience paralysis. Pick up a free Thunderbolt on an island near Valley Windworks. Thunderbolt is also given as a prize, in exchange for 10,000 coins, at the Veilstone Game Corner.

Behind Valley Windworks

  Walk south from Eterna Forest to get to Route 205. At the end of the road, head east to reach the Valley Windworks.

  Stand on the bridge by the Valley Windworks. Press "A" to surf in the water.

  Follow the stream to go behind the Valley Windworks. Look for an item ball on a small island. Pick up the item ball to get TM24 - Thunderbolt.
At Veilstone Game Corner

  Walk west from Route 215 to enter Veilstone City. Go to Veilstone Game Corner, the building marked by a neon sign.

  Talk to the cashier to buy game coins if you have none. If you have $200,000 and want to spend it, buy the 10,000 coins that you need to exchange for Thunderbolt. Otherwise, buy as many coins as you can afford and head to one of the slot machines.

  Play the slot machine until you win 10,000 coins. You win coins when you get matching reels on the slot machine.

  Exchange 10,000 coins for TM24 - Thunderbolt at the prize counter.
