How to Jump Onto Moving Platforms in Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows for DS

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" plays differently on the Nintendo DS than it does on other consoles. Since the Nintendo DS has a touchscreen, most of the controls utilize it to move both Harry and Ron around. For example, walking simply requires you to press the touchscreen in the direction you would like to walk. While there is no dedicated "jump" button, jumping is performed the same way you walk, only near a ledge.

Instructions

  Turn the game on and choose your file at the main screen. Select "Start" and "Resume Game."

  Navigate to the platform you need to jump to by pressing your stylus down on the screen in the direction you want to move Harry and Ron. Position yourself in the ledge directly in front of the platform.

  As the platform passes in front of you, press the touchscreen in the direction heading for the platform. With proper timing, you will jump from the ledge to the platform, if it is close enough.
