How to Look at the Guarded Trophy in Pokemon Mansion

In "Pokémon Pearl," "Diamond" and "Platinum" versions, Mr. Backlot's Pokémon Mansion is the most luxurious building in the Sinnoh region. When you have the National Dex, a new Pokémon appears in the Trophy Garden every day. Just outside the Trophy Garden, a vigilant security officer guards Mr. Backlot's prized bronze statue. The guard will not let you approach or touch the statue while he is on duty. In the early morning hours, though, he takes a break and leaves his post. Use this opportunity to investigate the statue.

Instructions

    • 1

Load your "Pokémon" game any time between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. If you are not awake during this time, you can change the Nintendo DS clock. To do so, turn on the DS with no game inserted. Tap the "Settings" icon and then tap the "Calendar." Tap the "Clock" icon and use the arrows to set the time to 2 a.m.

    • 2

Head to Hearthome City and walk south to get to Route 212, or walk west from Pastoria City to get there. Enter the mansion by the pond.

    • 3

Enter Mr. Backlot's office. The security guard that watched the statue during the day is gone.

    • 4

Walk up to the statue and press the "A" button to investigate it. You receive a message stating that the statue looks expensive. When you touch it, you get your fingerprints on the statue.
