How to Get Another Pokefile

Since you can only have a single save file in "Pokemon Black" or "Pokemon White," you will need to delete your previous saved information before starting a new adventure. Note that all of the Pokemon, items and progress will be gone forever after the save file is deleted, but it may be worth it to have a fresh start. While some previous titles allowed players to easily delete their saved game with an on-screen option, you will need a special code to start a new Pokemon save game.

     Start "Pokemon White" or "Pokemon Black" version on your Nintendo DS.

     Wait for the legendary Pokemon Zerkom or Reshiram to appear on the title screen.

     Press and hold the "Up," "Select" and "B" buttons on the Nintendo DS console.

     Choose the "Yes" option to remove the saved data on the "Pokemon" game.

     Enter the "New Game" option from the main menu to start a new save file in your version of "Pokemon."
