In "Pokemon: SoulSilver Version," your foes won't know what hit them when they get scorched by Blast Burn, one of the most powerful moves in the game. Many trainers consider Blast Burn, and two other elemental beams, Hydro Cannon and Frenzy Plant, the ultimate moves. With an accuracy of 90 and an attack power of 150, no victim of Blast Burn survives. Only a small handful of Pokemon can learn Blast Burn, though. To learn the move, take a Johto, Kanto or Hoenn starter Pokemon to the Move Tutor in Blackthorn City.

Add a fire-type starter Pokemon to your party. Fire-type starters include Pokemon like Typhlosion, Charizard or Blaziken.

Walk east from Mahogany Town or north from Route 45 to reach Blackthorn City. Enter the house on the west side of the Pokemon Center.

Speak to the elderly man in the house. He asks what move you want your Pokemon to learn. Select Blast Burn, and your fire-type starter learns the move.
