How to Cast a Spell on 'Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times'

"Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times" occurs in real time and features more than 100 different spells that you can learn. Each spell is taught in a class, and classes occur every few days. Once you pass a class, you'll learn the properties necessary for casting that particular spell. Once you know the spell properties, you just need to enter the correct casting mode and select the properties for the spell in the proper order.

Instructions

  Press the directions on the directional pad in a clockwise motion to cause your character to spin in a circle. For example, you would quickly press "Up," then "Right," then "Down" and finally "Left," before starting back over at the top. This will let you access "Wizard" mode. You can exit "Wizard" mode by pressing the directions on the directional pad in a counter-clockwise motion.

  Select the properties necessary to cast a spell. For example, if you wanted to cast the "Treasure Hunt" spell you would first select "Magic," then "Secret" and finally "Seek." Completing the classes needed to learn spells will teach you where each property is listed in the spell book. The different spell properties are scattered over several pages, so click on the arrows on either side of the screen to move the page forward or backward.

  Click on the yellow "OK" button on the bottom right side of the screen to cast the spell. Press the "R" button at any point after you have crafted a spell to cast it again, or go back into "Wizard" mode and craft a new spell if you'd like to use something different.
