Hidden Power
Hidden Power is a battle move that deals damage to the opposing Pokemon. Hidden Power has 100 percent accuracy and fifteen PP, meaning you can use the move fifteen times before you need to visit a Pokemon Center or use a PP-restoring item. Although it is listed as a Normal type move, Hidden Power's type actually depends on the Pokemon using it.
Hidden Power Strategy
Because Hidden Power can be classified with any of the seventeen Pokemon types, it is a very popular move, allowing any Pokemon use Hidden Power to cover the Pokemon's own weakness. For example, a Fire-type Pokemon could learn an electric-type Hidden Power. This would allow the Fire-type Pokemon to effectively attack any Water-type Pokemon that might normally defeat it.
Hidden Power Typing
Unfortunately, you cannot simply obtain a Hidden Power of a certain type. The type of Hidden Power your Pokemon will learn is based on the stats of your individual Pokemon. There is a very complicated algorithm involved in determining how stats produce type, but you can visit the Celadon Game Corner in-game and talk to a character who will inform you of the type of Hidden Power your Pokemon will have.
Hidden Power Location
Hidden Power is one of the few moves that no Pokemon learns naturally. Instead, you must teach Hidden Power to your Pokemon using a technical machine, also known as a TM. Hidden Power is contained in TM10 and is found in the Lake of Rage. You can also purchase as many Hidden Power TMs as you want at the Celadon Game Corner.
