How to Make Lyra Not Block You in Pokemon SoulSilver

In "Pokemon SoulSilver," if you attempt to go to the Pokemon League before meeting a few requirements, Lyra will block your way. You need to obtain the eight Johto badges, get the Master Ball from Professor Elm and fight the five Kimono girls consecutively. As a reward for beating them, the Kimono Girls will give you the Tidal Bell. The Tidal Bell will help you meet the final requirement, which is capturing the Level 45 Lugia.

Instructions

  Win the Zephyr badge, Hive badge, Plain badge, Fog badge, Storm badge, Mineral badge, Glacier badge and the Rising badge from the gym leaders of Johto. Go to Professor Elm's laboratory to pick up the Master Ball.

  Catch a Dark, Water, Fighting, Ground and Electric-type Pokemon. Train each Pokemon to at least Level 40. You will use these five Pokemon to defeat the Kimono Girls. Put these Pokemon in your party.

  Heal your Pokemon and go to the Dance Hall in Ecruteak City. Save your game in front of the building. Fight Zuki with the Fighting-type Pokemon, Naoko with the Dark-type Pokemon, Miki with the Water-type Pokemon, Sayo with the Ground-type Pokemon and Kuni with the Electric-type Pokemon.

  Stock up on Ultra Balls, unless if you're planning to catch the Level 45 Lugia with your Master Ball. Teach the following moves to a Pokemon: Whirlpool, Surf and Flash. Head to Whirl Islands after the Kimono Girls give you the Tidal Bell. Head to Route 41 and find Lugia in Whirl Islands.

  Watch the Kimono Girls complete a ceremony. Save your game and fight the Lugia with your Dark and Electric-type Pokemon. Heal your Pokemon with Hyper Potions and continue to strike Lugia until it has few hit-points left. Toss Ultra Balls, or the Master Ball, at the Lugia until you catch it.

  Fly to Newbark Town, Johto and surf east. Enter the Tohjo Falls, ascend the waterfall and descend the second waterfall. Leave the cave and follow the path to Victory Road. Lyra will no longer be blocking your way.
