How to Make Walda Laugh in Emerald

The game "Pokemon Emerald," for the Nintendo DS or DS Lite, features various side-quests and submissions that allow players to unlock special items. One of the side-quests is to make Walda, a rather sad little girl who lives in Rustboro City, smile. If you succeed, you can choose a special wallpaper for the boxes on your PC in the game. The secret word can be generated using your unique Trainer ID number.

Instructions

  Look up your Trainer ID number. Press the "X" button to bring up your menu, and select your Trainer Name to bring up your Trainer Card. Your five-digit ID is in the top-right corner.

  Go to the filb.de website's Pokemon Emerald Secret Word Generator page. This site allows you to enter your Trainer ID to generate the unique word needed to make Walda laugh in your game.

  Fly to Rustboro City, and go to Walda's house. Talk with her father. He will ask you what the word is that will make Walda smile. Enter the word that was generated for your Trainer ID, and Walda will give you a laugh.

  Choose which special wallpaper you want for your PC box.
