How to Get Up the Stairs in the Water Temple on Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The Nintendo 3DS features a remake of the classic Zelda game entitled "Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time." One of the levels in the game takes place in the Water Temple. The temple is full of puzzles and hidden sections that Link must travel through to escape. One of the puzzles is the staircase covered in water that you reach right after receiving the dungeon map. Getting through requires you to lower the water level and use your arrows to open the gate.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk up to the wall that displays the shield symbol. Pull out the flute and play the Zelda Lullaby. Once over, the water will drain out of the room and reveal a path down the bottom.

  Climb down the path. Destroy all of the pots and chests to get arrows and extra items.

  Walk up to the torches on the first wall and light them up.

  Access your "Fairy Arrows." Walk to the back corner so that the two torches and unlit torches are in the same line. Change to the "Arrow Shooting" view to align it.

  Shoot the arrow through the flames. The arrow will set on fire and go through the unlit torches. Once all the torches are lit, the doors above will open.

  Run up the staircase and go through the open doors to leave this area of the level.
