How to Get the Apricorn That Turns Into a GS Ball in Pokemon SoulSilver

Apricorns are special items that turn up only in the Johto region of the Pokémon universe. If you are lucky enough to find an Apricorn, you can bring it to a specialist to have it modified. The specialist will hollow out the inside of the fruit and transform the Apricorn into a special Pokéball. According to Pokémon lore, Apricorn Pokéballs were the primary capture method used by trainers before corporations developed a method for building mechanical Pokéballs. To get an Apricorn in "Pokémon SoulSilver," you must first find an Apricorn tree.

  Explore the world of Johto, and keep an eye out for Apricorn trees. These trees are identifiable by their light green coloring and round tops. While Apricorn trees popped up only on Routes 37 and 42 in the older Pokémon titles, they are found all over the world in SoulSilver.

  Examine the tree by pressing the "A" button. You will receive an Apricorn, though the color is random.

  Bring your Apricorn to Kurt in Azalea town. Kurt turns your raw Apricorn into a Pokéball.

  Take the Apricorn Pokéball with you to battle and capture new creatures. Apricorn balls have special properties not found in mechanical Pokéballs.
