How to Reset Action Replay for Your DSi

The Action Replay cheat code cartridge device for the Nintendo DSi may not always work as it is supposed to, preventing your DSi from running the device. Problems are caused by software errors in the Action Replay cartridge. You can reset the software in the Action Replay cartridge to remove the errors that are keeping the device from working properly. Resetting the Action Replay for the Nintendo DSi deletes all of your data and settings, leaving the cartridge in the same state as when you first opened the cartridge.

  Place the "Action Replay Code Manager" CD into your computer, and follow the on screen instructions to install the Action Replay software.

  Plug the mini-USB end of the supplied USB cable into the Action Replay cartridge and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. Install the drivers for the device when prompted by the computer.

  Click "Start," and select the "Code Manager" software. A window labeled "Action Replay DSi Code Manager" appears on the screen.

  Right-click the four colored circles at the top left corner of the screen, and select "About Action Replay."

  Click "Reset Hardware." The message "Are you sure you wish to reset your Action Replay Device" appears on the screen.

  Select "Yes" to reset the Action Replay, then "OK" when the confirmation screen appears.
