How to Get a Kings Rock in Pearl

"Pokemon: Pearl" has dozens of items that the player can find. Many of these are common items which heal Pokemon or offer them minor benefits. The King's Rock is a far rarer item, and it plays a crucial role in the evolution of many Pokemon. To get it, the player needs to capture Poliwhirl or Poliwrath after the National Dex. If the player is lucky, the Pokemon will have a King's Rock already equipped. If not, he'll have to try again.

Instructions

  Proceed through the game until you've beaten the Elite Four and received the National Dex.

  Go to Route 227. It's north of Route 226 and south of Stark Mountain.

  Go to the center of the map, where you'll find a small pond. Surf around on it until you encounter a Pokemon. If it's not a Poliwhirl or Poliwrath, look for another Pokemon.

  Attack the Pokemon until its health meter is yellow or red. Throw pokeballs at it until you catch it.
- 5
  Open the menu and check to see if the Poli-Pokemon has a King's Rock. If not, continue surfing and looking for one.
