How to Get Darkrai After an Event

Meet Cresselia

  Collect all the gym badges and defeat the Elite Four to beat the game. You must enter the end-game portion of "Pokemon Diamond" or "Pearl" to access the events leading up to meeting Darkrai.

  Fly to Canalave City. Go up to the southwest corner of the town, near the docks, and enter the house of Eldritch, the sailor who runs the ferry to Iron Island. You'll find that Eldritch's son is trapped in a deep sleep, muttering that something "Dark" is watching him.

  Take the ferry to the new location: FullMoon Island. There are no Pokemon on FullMoon Island except for the legendary Pokemon, Cresselia. Cresselia will run after you see her, leaving an item behind that will awaken the boy.

  Complete the quest, save your game and power off the Nintendo DS.

Enter the Action Replay Code

  Plug the Action Replay into the top slot of the Nintendo DS, and insert the "Pokemon Diamond" or "Pearl" cartridge into the Action Replay.

  Turn on the console; the Action Replay menu will automatically load and detect the game cartridge. Tap the asterisk symbol on the touch screen, and select the "<Add New Code>" option.

  Press "Start" on the touch screen to begin the game.

Activate the Code

  Press the two shoulder buttons --- "L" and "R" --- together, and enter any Pokemart in any town.

  Talk to the delivery man standing in front of the counter. He will give you the key item called a Member Card. While you're in the store, purchase supplies --- particularly Ultraballs, Dusk Balls, Hyper Potions and Awakenings.

  Re-enter Canalave City. A mysterious old man will invite you to stay at the previously closed inn at the northeast corner of the town.

  Enter the building. The old man will put you into a deep sleep. Upon awakening, you will be on the mysterious Dark Moon Island, where you can encounter and capture a level 40 Darkrai. Dark Moon Island is a mirror version of Fullmoon Island. Follow the path away from the boat and into the forest to find Darkrai waiting for you.

  Attack Darkai until you have depleted his health as much as you can without knocking him out. Inflict a status ailment on him such as Paralysis. While his health is low, repeatedly toss high capture rate Poke Balls, such as Ultra Balls and Dusk Balls, until you've captured him.
