How to Get the Poketch App to Track Mesprit in Pokemon Platinum

Mesprit is a Legendary Pokemon in the Nintendo DS video game "Pokemon Platinum" that roams around the Sinnoh region at random. You can find and catch Mesprit by using the Marking Map on your Poketch, the gadget that is displayed on the bottom screen of the DS. The Marking Map is available from the Poketch Company in Jubilife City after you have defeated the first thee Pokemon Gym Leaders in the game.

Instructions

  Go to Oreburgh City, west of Route 203 in the Sinnoh region, and take on the Pokemon Gym Leader, Roark. He has a Level 12 Geodude, a Level 12 Onix and a Level 14 Cranidos. These are all Rock and Ground-type Pokemon, which are weak against Water and Grass-type attacks.

  Head north on Routes 206 and 207 to Eterna City and fight Gardenia, the Eterna Gym Leader. Gardenia uses Grass-type Pokemon, including a Level 20 Turtwig, a Level 20 Cherim and a Level 22 Roserade. These are particularly weak against Ice and Fire-type Pokemon.

  Move on to Hearthome City in the center of Sinnoh, where you will face Gym Leader Fantina. She uses a Level 24 Duskull, a Level 24 Haunter and a Level 26 Mismagius. These are all Ghost-type Pokemon, which are weak against Dark and Psychic-type attacks.

  Head west back to Jubilife City and go to the Poketch Company Building in the middle of town. Speak to the Poketch Company President inside and he will give you the Marking Map application.

  Load up the Marking Map on your Poketch on the bottom screen of the DS and it will display the location of Mesprit and the other roaming Legendary Pokemon, Cresselia.
