How to Get Through Oreburgh Pass in 'Diamond'

When you begin playing Pokemon "Diamond," the only way to Oreburgh City is through the Oreburgh Pass. Oreburgh City is a mining town and holds your first Gym. Defeating this Gym not only puts you one step closer to getting to the Elite Four, but nets you a nice Technical Machine called Stealth Rock. That makes it more than worth the short trip through the pass.

Instructions

    • 1

      Enter the pass from Route 103. You will encounter a hiker, who will approach you and give you the hidden move Rock Smash. It allows you to teach a Pokemon how to crush rocks in your way, though without the Oreburgh City Gym badge, you will be unable to use it.

      Walk to the east and you will encounter a trainer. Defeat him and continue east.

      Fight and defeat the next trainer you come across and exit the pass through the nearby doorway to reach Oreburgh City.
