How to Get the Poketch App Friendship Meter

In "Pokemon Pearl," "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Platinum," you receive a useful item known as the Poketch. The Poketch acts as a watch, cellphone and several other electronic devices. Throughout the game, you can obtain Poketch apps which perform various functions. One of the more useful apps is the friendship meter app. This app allows you to see if two of your Pokemon are compatible. If the two Pokemon are friendly towards each other and are of different genders, you can breed them to obtain a Pokemon egg.

     Travel to Eterna City either by using a bicycle or by using the move "Fly" to instantly transport yourself to the city.

     Enter the Eterna City Pokemon Center.

     Walk to the back part of the Pokemon Center and talk to the woman. She will give you the friendship meter app.

     Touch the bottom screen on the DS to change apps. The friendship checker app appears immediately after the Pokemon List app that your Poketch comes with.
