How to Get the Arceus Event in Pearl

You will activate the Arceus Event if you use the Azure Flute at the Spear Pillar in "Pokemon Pearl." To get the Azure Flute you need to use the Action Replay cheat device. A staircase will appear before you after your character blows into the Azure Flute while standing on top of the symbol between the pillars. Ascend the staircase to reach the Hall of Origin, where a Level 80 Arceus rests, observing Sinnoh. If you go up to the Legendary Pokemon, you will get the chance to catch Arceus.

  Create a new cheat with Action Replay for "Pokemon Pearl." Choose "Azure Flute" or Heaven Flute" as the name of the cheat. Enter the following code: 94000130 FCFF0000 B21C4D28 00000000 B0000004 00000000 0000AA3C EDB88320 2000AA68 0000000A D2000000 00000000. Confirm the cheat.

  Stand outside of any PokeMart in Sinnoh and press the "L" and "R" button at the same time. Walk inside the building and speak to the Deliveryman, who is wearing a green outfit. He will deliver the Azure Flute to you.

  Go to the Spear Pillar, located on the peak of Mount Coronet and save your game. Stand on the symbol and the Azure Flute will start making a sound. Blow into the Azure Flute. Walk up the staircase that pops up before you.

  Walk up to the Arceus to engage it in battle. Weaken the Arceus with a Level 70 to Level 100 Pokemon. Heal your party of Pokemon with Hyper Potions as necessary. Catch the Arceus with an Ultra ball. If you want to catch the Arceus with a Master ball, you won't need to weaken it beforehand.
